During an election year, there are certain restrictions on my communications to prevent the use of state resources for election purposes. One of these restrictions is that from May 11, until after the November election results are certified, I can’t send out e-newsletters and this website will be frozen, meaning no new content can be added during that period. However, I am your representative year-round, so if you have questions or comments about legislative issues, please feel free to contact me.
QUICK INFO & LINKS:
It is an honor to serve the residents of the 5th Legislative District. I am grateful and humbled that you’ve entrusted me to voice your concerns and bring your ideas to the table in Olympia.
I believe the purpose of a public office is to service its community. As your state representative, I aim to find solutions to problems within our district, like completing the Highway 18/Interstate 90 interchange and expanding lanes on Highway 18 and Highway 169, but also to issues that affect people all over the state, such as protecting the environment, creating better paths to family-wage jobs, reducing property taxes and developing more affordable housing options.
My staff and I are here to make government more responsive to your needs and to provide the highest quality of service and advocacy for our communities in Issaquah, Snoqualmie, Black Diamond, Carnation, North Bend, Maple Valley and Renton. As we continue dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, I hope you will take a look at the COVID-19 resources tab on this page. Please know that my office is a point of access to the services available to you through state government, so don’t hesitate to call or email if you need help.
We’re taking calculated and steady steps to reopen our state so we can safely go back to a sense of normalcy even if, at first, it’s different from the way we used to do things. To stay on this course, we can’t let our guard down, we really have to commit to continue protecting each other and working together with the same goal of defeating this virus. So keep washing your hands, wearing masks and practicing social distancing; remember that six feet saves lives.
I believe in us and I hope you do too.
