Dear neighbors,
The short legislative session is almost here—and with it, a chance to prove that bold, people-powered politics can win real gains for working families. Short sessions move quickly, so we have to be strategic and united about what we can accomplish.
We already know the roadblocks ahead: a tight state budget, volatile federal funding, and local crises that can’t wait. That’s exactly why the 43rd District must be ready to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our allies in Olympia when it comes time to push for progressive revenue—taxing the rich so everyone else can thrive.
A tax code that asks the wealthiest to finally pay their share isn’t radical—it’s common sense. It’s how we build the housing, transit, climate action, and public services our communities deserve. But it won’t happen without a loud, organized, unapologetic movement.
That’s where you come in.

This will be more than a town hall—it’s a call to action. Let’s gather, plan, and show Washington that the 43rd is ready to lead the charge for a fairer economy and a just future.
Bring your questions, your neighbors, and your determination. Together we can transform frustration into the kind of collective power that wins.
In solidarity,
Rep. Shaun Scott
Washington State Representative, 43rd District
