Welcome! It’s an honor to represent my neighbors in Mercer Island, Bellevue, Sammamish, Issaquah, Renton, Newcastle and Beaux Arts Village in the Washington state legislature. My priority has always been to make life easier for busy families to thrive. I’ve advocated for legislation to ensure pay equity, keep our families safe from gun violence, secure access to mental health services and social emotional learning for our kids, make child care more affordable and accessible and ease traffic congestion. As Chair of the Human Services and Early Learning Committee, I guide policy to support struggling families, provide a fair start for each child, and create hope and opportunity for youth. As a working mom, I lend my experience to your voice in Olympia and I will always be a champion for families.
Ours is a representative democracy, and it only works if I hear from you with your questions, comments, ideas for legislation, and feedback on how my fellow lawmakers and I are doing. Regardless of how busy the work here can become, either I or my legislative aide will respond to your emails and phone calls as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can also . . .
