Grant Proposals to Support Firearm Relinquishment Laws
Funding for local jurisdictions to support state firearm relinquishment laws, funded under the U.S. Department of Justice Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) created under the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act adopted by Congress in 2022. In the state of Washington, SCIP funding is specifically focused on improving the implementation and enforcement of protection order laws that can keep firearms out of the hands of those who pose a threat to themselves or others. Approximately $2,200,000 in total funds will be awarded. Commerce intends to distribute multiple sub-awards in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for each award. DUE MAY 31

ArtsWA Grants
Funding for organizations seeking support for arts projects and programming, or the promotion of arts learning as part of basic education for K-12 students.
Building for the Arts
Grants to performing arts, art museum, and cultural organizations for as much as 33 percent state match of eligible project costs for acquisition, construction, and/or major renovation of capital facilities. The 2027-2029 Building for the Arts funding round will open in the spring of 2026.
City of Seattle Grants & Funding

Building Communities Fund
Grants to nonprofit, community-based organizations to defray up to 25 percent or more of eligible capital costs to acquire, construct, or rehabilitate nonresidential community and social service centers. There is no minimum or maximum grant award amount. The 2027-2029 BCF funding round will open in the spring of 2026.
