Dear neighbors,
One of the most rewarding aspects of serving as your state legislator is connecting with you about the issues and ideas that matter most. Together, we can explore ways to improve the 10th Legislative District—and our entire state.
Please take a moment to complete this brief survey and share your priorities. Your input will help shape my legislative agenda and help advocate for essential state services during this session. In my next e-newsletter, I hope to share the results of this survey.
Legislative Preview
Some big news: my colleagues recently elected me to serve as the Chair of the House Postsecondary Education & Workforce Committee. I’m deeply honored to serve our community and state in this new role. I remain committed to addressing the challenges that have long hindered many Washingtonians from fully accessing opportunities for economic advancement. Whether it’s expanding access to college and workforce training by improving FAFSA and WASFA completion rates; better supporting first-generation students; or connecting more Washingtonians to careers in high-wage fields, our state’s economic future depends on the investments we make.
I’ll also continue serving on the Transportation Committee and the Technology, Economic Development & Veterans Committee, focusing on ferry system improvements and improving economic stability – especially for our veterans. District priorities like public safety, housing affordability, and behavioral health access will remain central to my efforts. Together, let’s work to strengthen our community and state.

Applications are open for the House Page Program – and we still have slots available! Legislative pages are youth aged 14 – 16 who serve in Olympia for one week during the legislative session. Staying in Contact
The 2025 legislative session commenced January 13th, and with only 100 days remaining, we have lots of work ahead of us. I look forward to working with lawmakers from both parties to lower the cost of living, increase access to good-paying jobs, and provide a safe community. It’s my hope that we listen to each other with respect this session, and get things done for all the people living in the 10th Legislative District and all of Washington.
As always, it’s an honor to serve as your representative.
