Improving Transportation in Eastern King County

Improving the transportation infrastructure of eastern King County has always been a priority for me. Our region needs safer roads and quicker commutes. Efficient transportation ensures goods and services get where they need to on time and supports a strong economy.

Rep. Bill Ramos: Meeting Our Region’s Transportation Needs (Video Linked in Picture)

The passage of I-976 has made it clear, we need to become more efficient with our resources and find creative ways to complete our infrastructure projects.

Today we started the 2020 Legislative session, I will be working to fulfill our region’s transportation needs. This means fighting to ensure our existing transportation projects, like improvements to the I-90/Highway 18 interchange, continue to receive funding. It also means finding ways for county, city, and state agencies to work together to improve local transportation infrastructure, more efficiently using taxpayer money. I also believe we need to provide additional tools to local and municipal governments to find revenue to improve local roads. We owe it to our region to find tax-efficient ways to strengthen our transportation system.

As always, if you have any thoughts, ideas, or concerns, please contact me.

Thank you,

Rep. Bill Ramos
