OLYMPIA, WASH. – State Rep. Jamila Taylor, D-Federal Way, chair of the Legislative Black Caucus, released the following statement after LBC vice chair Kirsten Harris-Talley, D-Seattle, announced that she will not seek a second term in the Legislature.

“I want to thank Rep. Harris-Talley for her commitment to advocating for families and communities, and for her tireless service as vice chair of the Legislative Black Caucus,” Taylor said. “I’m honored to have had the opportunity to help lead the LBC alongside Rep. Harris-Talley as we work towards ensuring the experience, needs and solutions of Black people throughout our state are represented, prioritized and made real in our legislative process and policies.
