Join Me for a Community Conversation on September 13th!
Friends and neighbors,
Immigrant communities in Washington are facing real challenges, from unsafe conditions in detention facilities to discriminatory labor practices and barriers to voting. At the same time, federal actions threaten to overwhelm our diverse communities. But here in Washington, we continue to move forward with legislation that protects immigrant families, strengthens worker rights, ensures access to justice, and safeguards every person’s dignity.
Join me for a community conversation on immigrant safety and civil rights Saturday, September 13th, from 11 AM – 12 PM, at the Mercer Island Library. Together, we will talk about the values that guide us, the work ahead, and how we can continue standing united in the face of fear and division.
If you can’t make it, I am planning additional community conversations during September and October. I hope to see you there!
If you require accommodations or translation services, please email my office.
