House Bill 1906, sponsored by Rep. Lillian Ortiz-Self, D-Mukilteo, designates April 10 as Dolores Huerta Day. The measure was signed into law by Gov. Jay Inslee on March 21, 2019. This is only the second time the Washington State Legislature has designated a day, in statute, to honor a woman.
