OLYMPIA – Today, the Washington State House of Representatives recognized the Bremerton High School Varsity Boy’s Basketball team with a House Resolution. The team won the 2025 2A State Championship, the first Bremerton team to win a state championship in 50 years.
“Not only did this team win, but they put on an outstanding performance throughout the season and during the championship game,” said Rep. Tarra Simmons (D-Bremerton) who sponsored the resolution. “I couldn’t let the season end without recognizing their historic achievement and the pride they’ve brought to all of us in Bremerton and in throughout the region. Go Knights!”
This win marked a significant improvement on the team’s fifth-place finish last year. The future looks bright for the team whose championship roster includes two freshmen, five sophomores, three juniors, and two seniors.
The entire team along with their coaching staff were recognized on the House floor and provided copies of the resolution. The resolution can be read here.
